Blog 29th July
Today we got a lot of work done on the project. We finished the mural which looks amazing, and we were all ‘Feeling Good’. The playground is coming together nicely, and should be finished ahead of schedule. We put in the A-frame and cemented the zig-zag balance beam. Today we had about an hour of sun between then rain which was refreshing break from ‘Singing in the Rain’.
In the afternoon we came back to camp and played a jolly good match of volleyball with our buddies and some other locals. As the sun went down, we had a spectacular dinner cooked by the mighty fine Augustina. She made lovely Palava Sauce and rice which was truly scrumptious. Bob and Miles have given everyone in the group a nickname which as been marvellous. After eating dinner we had a brilliantly blazing bonfire built by Burner.
Tomorrow we are going to continue work on the project and have a drum and dance workshop.
