Partner Schools Worldwide > Community Impact

Community Impact

Fostering a sense of community is a pillar of our programme; we aim to encourage young people to take an active role in their global and local communities, collaborating for a better world.  Not only will this effect change in their world but it will positively impact their mental health.

We have a long track record of instigating grassroots community engagement leading to significant local impacts. To find out more click here.

To find out more about the impact of your trip on the local community please see below.

The project work we undertake is always sustainable and in line with local need.

We only partner with reputable local NGO’s who share their development expertise as well as enabling students to participate in meaningful project work.

The way we work with educational authorities and schools means our programme delivers educational benefits to local students and professional development to local teachers.

The buddy programme opens up enrichment opportunities to local students that they would otherwise be unable to afford.

Our policy of recruiting and training guides from the local community to deliver our program rather than contracting-in Western expedition leaders delivers meaningful employment.

We only work with ethical, local suppliers and pay them fairly.

Our permanent base in Ghana offers career opportunities to local people.
