MHS explore kakum rain forest with their Ghanaian buddies

Partner Schools Worldwide > Martin Cedars High School and Nsadwer Basic School > MHS explore kakum rain forest with their Ghanaian buddies

Day 5- Saturday, 6th July 2019

Today was full of excitement and adventure as the group headed off to the Kakum rainforest canopy with their buddies. Getting a glimpse of the rainforest from a bird’s-eye view. After braving the heights the group went in search of more adventure eventually finding themselves a crocodile to touch (all fingers and toes are intact). We finished with a tour of Elmina to soak up the atmosphere of the Bakatue festival, where we witnessed the chiefs of all surrounding villages in a grand carnival procession, the whole experience was simply sensory overload. Back at base for another fabulous meal prepared by the group under the guidance of our fantastic cook Mercy. Whilst waiting for food to be prepared there was enough time to play some football. Another great day in Ghana. We look forward to exploring Elmina more tomorrow.

Mr White and Miss Sedgley.
