Kimbolton arrive in Ghana Safely

Saturday 6th July.

We arrived in Accra safely last night after a long day of travelling from London Heathrow. We were met in Accra by Mary and Yaw who transported us to the guest house in a big orange truck. We woke up this morning extremely tired after a short night sleep however the delicious breakfast fueled us for the day. After packing our luggage we visited Trashy Bags, where we were shown how they recycle our plastic water bags Into a variety of reusable bags. We then embraced the three hour journey to Elmina taking in the new culture we were witnessing (we sang very well on the bus) . After having our first insight to Ghanaian lifestyles we reached Stumble Inn, greeted by our buddies and food. The. Bakatue Festival we visited next with our buddies allowed us to see some African dancing and music as we watched from Elmina castle, the vice president of Ghana also attended the festival for the first time (perhaps he knew we were there) . Finally we returned to Stumble Inn ready for some well needed food and rest in anticipation of an exciting day tomorrow.
