Hello family and friends! After we parted from you at O’hare, we had a lovely 7.5 hour flight to London. We were all very excited to be in another country and board our next flight to Accra. When we went to board our flight, we were informed that all but two of us had to check our duffle bags. Alright, we thought, if this is going to be our only hiccup during our travels we were fine with it. Oh, we were wrong about that! After boarding we sat on the plane for about an hour when we were finally informed that there were some technical difficulties with the communication radios on the plane. After another hour of waiting on the plane with no air circulation we decided to get up and walk around. We met many amazing and kind people who were native to Ghana and England. We got to open the plane door and some of us even got to take a step outside to get some fresh air (it was really cool and the plane was huge!) We talked with lots of new people, finally got some fresh air, and some of us even got to tour the cockpit. Finally, after just over three hours, we were ready to take off for Ghana! The second flight was much better than the first and we spent the last couple hours all hanging out in the back of the plane to “stretch our legs” where we got to eat some yummy ice cream and talk about the office and the things we were excited about for this trip. We are all very excited to be here and are already having an amazing time. Two long flights, a three hour delay, and after what seems like days of travel, we have finally arrived in Ghana!  We can’t wait to share more with you all! Love and miss you guys!!!
