Our first day at MEF began with another early start at 7, followed by half an hour of calming yoga at 7.30. After this we went for breakfast with some bread greatly improved in comparison to that at the Janoda Foundation. So far everyone is enjoying the food. We then went for a tour of the whole foundation. The sun only grew in heat and force as we began our morning chores of cleaning out the elephants beds at 10 then weeding the pineapple patch and carrying hay until around 12.

A much needed shower was followed by lunch then a much more chilled afternoon. We washed the elephants with coconut shells and made fruit bowls along with vitamin balls to feed to the elephants. There was also a tour of the poo paper making factory. Now we’re just relaxing before dinner and what promises to be an amazing bonfire.

It’s amazing how you’ve made your hat match EVERY outfit that you’ve worn so far, Ellie! Very impressive – love you – from Neve

That certainly looks like hot and thirsty work. I can’t believe how much you’ve all packed into such a short time.

Looking forward to hearing more about it and seeing all the photos!!
