WEY T1 Visit to Ayensudu

Partner Schools Worldwide > Weydon and Dwabor JHS > WEY T1 Visit to Ayensudu

Day 5 – 11th April 19

We began today by waking up to the amazing news that we had pancakes for breakfast! It didn’t take long before we all had to start getting ready to head to Ayensudo to visit the other Weydon partner school and run a sports day. Thankfully, the day was a little more overcast so we were all in much higher spirit and ready to go. Fleur had to stop that bus again to go for a wee but it wasn’t long until we were at the school. Then, we set up the sack race for the kids (the red team won!) and spent time just chilling and getting to know more children before we had to go back to Dwabor for lunch. We had spaghetti bolognese for lunch and prepared to do project work and visit our buddies houses. Our team was first to paint the inside of the new building which was so much fun. We moved quickly to miss the rain and gave our buddies gifts that they were grateful for. When we came back to the secondary school, it was pouring with rain! At first, we hid away but we gave in by the end and got absolutely sopping wet and did lots of singing. When we were back to where we are sleeping, we were all too soaking to even want a shower so we all got into our matching Ghana hoodies, did some colouring and lots of chatting and then played a game of Uno. For dinner, we had chicken and chips and spent so much time chatting with the teachers in the dark because there was a power outage. We are about to embark on starting Ghana’s Got Talent and I think we want to do the Riff Off! Goodnight from Abbie!
