Hi it’s Amelia.

Today was eventful as we had to leave the accommodation at 7:30, which was a challenge for us teens. We then sat on the mini bus for 3 hours until we arrived at the tea plantation. We toured around the gardens along with our buddies- learning how to make tea. This was followed by us tasting various teas, which made many people purchase tea bags to take back home.

We then went to the historical town of Galle to participate in a scavenger hunt. This was fun and enabled us to sight see, however it was incredibly hot and we all got sweaty. Some of us bought ice creams which sadly melted in our hands! Then we continued our journey and stopped at a market with our buddies.

We were given100 rupees to spend on fruits or vegetables (attempting to get the cheapest and most unique)Then we said bye to our buddies and went off to a beach where we saw the locals sitting on wooden poles in the sea. They were fishing and we all took many photos of them against the beautiful sunset. Then we went back to the accommodation after having a quick visit to the supermarket.

Goodnight from Amelia.
