Day 11-31st July 2018
Blog: Our departure from Ghana was a very emotional one, seeing the buddies, Musah and Mercy for the last time brought us all to tears. We were given gifts which I’m sure we will all cherish for the rest of our lives. The three hour journey to Accra was broken up with two stops one to eat Mercy’s amazing food one last time and the other to visit a large shopping centre in the city. After arriving at the airport there was a 3 hour long wait which seemed to fly by. Being honest, the 6 and a half hour long flight back was not pleasant. For most of us sleep was near on impossible and was interrupted by both dinner and breakfast. Finally we landed in Amsterdam at 6:40 for an hour wait for our final flight. Throughout all of our time waiting we continued to reflect upon the amazing events of the last ten days and noted how it has changed our lives. We’re now in the bus on the way back to Crofton and are still missing our experience and Ghana.
