Project work and cultural dance workshop

Partner Schools Worldwide > Crofton School and Pershie Jira Akyinim JHS > Project work and cultural dance workshop

Day 5-25th July 2018
Today we started with waking up for breakfast at 7. We had bread and scrabbled eggs that tasted delicious. After breakfast we got ready to head off to school, at which we continued the project. After we finished some painting we watched the kindergarten’s graduation ceremony which was really good and they all looked cute! Then after the graduation we headed off to Site 14 to have lunch, which was spicy noodles and it was very tasty and we all wished we had more afterwards. As we were walking back from Site 14 we saw many baby goats that kept screaming at us. When we finally got back to the school we did a dancing and drumming workshop which was really fun! But some of the dance moves were quite difficult but very groovy! The drumming was really good but it was hard to get into the rhythm at some times. Towards the end of the workshop we sung a Ghanaian song with our buddies. We then continued painting after the workshop, we planned on going back to the hotel around 3 but we got to go back earlier as we ran out of paint. When we got back Mercy chopped up some fresh pineapple for us to snack on whiles we were waiting for dinner to be cooked, it was really juicy and nice! Then around 5 we had mashed up yams with a spicy sauce mixed with vegetables and it was amazing, most of us went up for seconds! After dinner we all headed off to the lounge to rest and play card games, it’s very fun! Overall it’s been an amazing day and I think everyone has enjoyed it, and we are all extremely tired and excited for the next day!
