Official welcome ceremony and Teenage pregnancy drama performed by Weydon ambassadors and their buddies

Partner Schools Worldwide > Weydon School and Ayensudo Islamic JHS > Official welcome ceremony and Teenage pregnancy drama performed by Weydon ambassadors and their buddies

DAY 4-Wednesday 25th July 2018
After waking at 6am to the sound of the cockerels some decided to brave the showers while others slowly got up.
Cooking team happily went out to cook the pancakes for breakfast and in the process became the best cooks in the world. After the lovely breakfast we helped to set up the welcome ceremony and KG graduation and then the drama team went and practiced before their performance. We sat down to watch the ceremony and during it performed our amazing, one and only, best ever dance. Then not much time later the group performing drama were called up and they performed their piece, which was magnificent… Then we had a lovely lunch of yam and chips before we watched the finish of the ceremony with spectacular dances from the locals. Once helping to pack away we went on a scavenger hunt with our buddies, which Noah and Ed won, sadly. Then we continued to play lots of games while the cooking team slaved away in the kitchen. We had the lovely dinner of plantain, rice and a sauce and then all chilled out before the campfire.

Also cheeky shout-out to Rose’s Granny whose birthday it is today. Also thank you to the amazing teachers for creating an amazing start to the trip.
