Day 19-23rd July 2018
Another early start saw the team ready for the drive to the monkey sanctuary. Unfortunately the bus driver wasn’t ready so we were left waiting around as per usual. The boredom was relieved by some football, and after some dodgy play from Pinky and heroics from Will we were on the road. After 3 and a bit hours, we arrived at the monkey sanctuary. After a short walk we got our first sight of the monkeys, and further on we had the opportunity to feed the monkeys and let them climb on us. Some were lucky enough to have the monkeys climb on them, but most people were able to get the monkeys to eat from their hand. Afterwards, we hit the road to head to Bigfoot Safari Hostel. We were surprised to find beds that were not made of concrete, and our excitement was heightened further when we spotted a red tap on the shower. To the joy of us all we were told it was a hot tap for the shower and there was hot water. Unfortunately the shower only dribbled, but a hot shower was still a blessing. Harry
