Day 11. Monday, 16th July 2018.
Unfortunately we had to wake up at 5:30 for a breakfast of omelettes at 6. We parted from Stumble Inn at 6:45 with a 4 hour bus journey ahead of us. After a sleepy bus journey (thankfully with air con) we arrived at reception for the boat journey to the Nzulezu stilt village, where our buddies were waiting for us. The boats took about 8 people, were banana shaped and had a questionable amount of water in the bottom.
We then arrived at the stilt village, had an invigorating chat in the village hall, then explored the village with our buddies. Personally I found the school the most fascinating, and the larger than feet sized holes in the bamboo walkways the most worrying. After about an hour exploring the bamboo mazes we got back on the boats for a wobbly ride back to the meeting point. We then had another 4 hour bus journey, then enjoyed dinner of pasta and tomato sauce. We are now sitting around campfire, with our bags packed in our rooms.
We leave Stumble Inn tomorrow at 10, then about 30 hours later we will be Stumbling Into bed at home. We have had an eye opening trip, and the experiences and memories we have made will stay with us forever.
