Day 12-1

Last night was an early one for most with everyone tucked in by 9. We rose religiously at 6:37. There was some confusion over breakfast over whether it was pancakes or French toast, causing a mass debate. We then got underway at 8:03 under our new leader Bella. Today was all set to be a paint job from start finish, but what a surprise, the mason(s) got James and Tom cooking up a mortar mix. Nice. The rest of the crew began painting a Blue Coat crest alongside the Ankwanda school badge. They day came to a close with max and James’ daily clay pigeon shooting practise followed by brutal a penalty shootout in preparation for the England vs Ghana game on Friday. The oxen looked spiritual as ever around camp and perked up Mr Hartland’s mood.
