LWC continues project work with buddies at Egyeikrom School

Partner Schools Worldwide > Lord Wandsworth and Egyeikrom > LWC continues project work with buddies at Egyeikrom School

Day 5- 27th October, 2017
Upon arrival at the school, we immediately resumed work on the painting and carpentry. With the painting, we applied the second layer of yellow, and began to apply the brown sections to the pillars and walls. With the carpentry, we cut a frame for the chalkboards and mounted them alongside the whiteboards, whilst continuing to fix and mend desks and chairs for the students. After lunch, we were split into three groups of pairs of buddies, and began to learn dance routines and began to play the drums. After the activities, we had some time to interact with the children, who were all very friendly and happy to see us. They were particularly interested in our hats and sunglasses, and loved to take photos. When we arrived back at the hostel, we experienced our first rainstorm, as we sheltered underneath the communal canopy. After dinner, we met up with our buddies for a bonfire, sharing stories in a circle, as we watched the lightning in the distant sky.
