LWC team transferred to project site-Community

Partner Schools Worldwide > Lord Wandsworth and Egyeikrom > LWC team transferred to project site-Community

Day 2-Tuesday 24th October 2017. We were woken to the sounds of the African village (shouting, barking etc….) A quick breakfast which was an omelette sandwich, and then we began the 4hr bus ride to our hostel, most people slept but it was very bumpy! We stopped at the PSG office to drop of our valuables (passports, money, phones) 30mims later we arrived at our hostel which is simple but very nice. Lunch – which was spaghetti and a traditional vegetable sauce was well received however the portion sizes were huge! We then drove to the local beach and had a relaxing afternoon paddling and drinking coconuts given to us by local boys. On the way back we went to the local village market and saw ladies and children selling lots of fish and fruit, all the children were really excited to see us and were franticly waving 🙂 back to our hostel for a refreshing shower and then tea – chicken and vegetable chip things. Everyone pretty tired so some went to bed, some read and some played ‘kingdom’ but everyone went to bed by 9pm after a very exiting but long day!
