Lord Wandsworth College team arrives in Ghana Safely.

Partner Schools Worldwide > Lord Wandsworth and Egyeikrom > Lord Wandsworth College team arrives in Ghana Safely.

Day 1- 23rd October, 2017. We started at 7 yesterday morning, when we left the minibus car park . We then arrived at Heathrow, where we checked in all of our bags and headed through security, then got some breakfast. Our first flight to Lisbon was two hours, after which we all got some lunch. We then got on our second flight to Accra, which took six hours. When we stepped off the air conditioned plane, we were hit by a wave of humidity, which we waited in for a bus, to ultimately take us 50 metres to immigration. We were then immediately greeted by man playing the keyboard and giving a running musical commentary on everything happening around him. We met with the PSW staff, and were taken to the hotel. We passed the President’s residence on the way. After we were given water in a bag (which was far more exciting for some than others) we had some delicious chicken and chips for dinner, then with our sweaty clothes plastered to us, we got a shower and headed to bed.
