SWPS handover project to Bantuma M/A school -Last day at school

Partner Schools Worldwide > Sir William Perkins School and Bantuma JHS > SWPS handover project to Bantuma M/A school -Last day at school

Day 9 Thursday 19th October, 2017
Today was our last day visiting the school. We began the day with papaya and eggy bread for breakfast. Then we hopped on the bus and went to school, which was very busy as usual. We got into groups and finished painting the cupboards and they looked very good once we had done. Next we handed over some books to the library. we got together with our buddies for the closing ceremony , where we thanked each other for everything and got given some lovely hand made scarfs. They also announced the best buddies which was Imi and her Buddy Marko. We said goodbye to all the kids at the school, and we were excited to see our buddies for a buffet and bonfire, back at stumble inn. We made our way back along the beach to the hostel. Then we played lots of volley ball, in which we had improved a lot in, since sports day. We also did some football. Not long after that our buddies arrived and we had a huge amount of delicious food like bean stew, plantain and fried chicken. Then we gathered round to watch the dance and drumming. It was very impressive and they even did a fire display, which included some of the students picking up fire and throwing it into one of the dancers mouth! After all the fun we had, we sadly had to say our last goodbyes to our buddies. We exchanged numbers and all hope to keep in contact with them. Its been an amazing trip and I don’t think any of us will forget. We are looking forward to getting home to our families but we will miss Ghana very much.
