Hi everyone, Tee here

Today was a tourist day. We started by setting off at 8am with a three hour drive to the Virgin White Tea plantation, where we toured the plantation, had tea and chocolate cake and then tasted many many different types of tea. Everyone found it very funny as I don’t like cups of tea but my name is Tee!also whilst there we saw how it grew and how the machines work to produce the tea. Fierce having lunch in a simple restaurant by the sea, which was beautiful, we travelled to Galle, which is a colonial walled town. It was full of cute little shops. While being there we had to take a selfie with a British post box and also on the way shopping of course!
We then went to the local fruit and veg market and were challenged to buy the most unusual fruit and vegetables, find out their names and how they are eaten with the help of our buddies. Buddhi, our guide assessed the best bargains! We found custard apples, sugar cane, star fruit, rambatan, mongoose fruit and chillies, curry drum sticks and bitter gourde vegetables. Everyone got really excited and got very good at bargaining!
After a fun packed day we finished off by going to the beach which was amazing. Don’t worry we have some awesome photos of us and the traditional stick fishermen.
Finally going back to the Janoda foundation, we had supper and are glad to be in bed after a busy weekend.
Hope everyone is OK at home. Just a small note to my mum and dad, miss you both loads! I love you!
