Sacred Heart departs to Ghana

Partner Schools Worldwide > Sacred Heart School > Sacred Heart departs to Ghana

Day 1 – 20/07/2017
I recently had the pleasure of going on my first flight. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I arrived as I was told to get out my boarding pass and passport, and hand them over to the man scanning my luggage, it was here I learned the true horror of airports. Lots of small annoyances and inconveniences that build up to amount to a slow, painful experience. I was told here that I was seated next to an emergency exit and because I was under 16 years they had to move me. It didn’t take long but it was still a pain. Next we moved to security where they asked me to remove all liquids from my current plastic bag, to a slightly lower quality plastic bag. Again, a small annoyance. I had to scan my hand luggage and remove anything electrical from my hand luggage and remove my hoodie. I think you are beginning to see a pattern. A frustrating waits to board later and I am on the plane. I sit in my seat and watch the security demo and wait for the plane to take off. Waiting for the plane to start moving was obnoxiously uneventful. Sitting for 10 minutes listening to the mind mumming buzz of the engine.
