Day 6 – 20/17/2017
Today we had scrambled egg and beans on toast for breakfast, which everyone was very happy about, as they have been missing beans. After breakfast we walked to the school where the canteen was coming along nicely after our hard work yesterday. On arrival we were greeted with millet which was interesting to try but we wont be having it again. Then we enjoyed catching up with our buddies and did some work on the cafeteria (setting the sand foundations). Throughout the day we both joined in with the children and played games such as catwalk and volleyball, as well as helping with the cooking. After finishing at school we went to the international pool with our buddies. It was lovely to see the buddies playing in the pool as many of them had never been in one before and couldn’t swim. We then returned to the guesthouse where we freshened up and had pasta with yam and vegetables for dinner. We are currently listening to English music while dancing thanks to our leader Musah’s speaker. So far we are having the best time in Ghana. See you soon
