Team 2 adds finishing touches to projects

Partner Schools Worldwide > Weydon School and Ayensudo Islamic JHS > Team 2 adds finishing touches to projects

Day 8 – Friday 7/04/17
To begin the morning, we started off with an egg omelet in bread which was delicious as usual. We then split off into groups: One working on the outside mural and the others cleaning the camp and throughout the day we swapped in and out of the groups. To finish the day Isee our Guide had to stand on a ladder which was wobbly. Archie was awarded dip of the ….again. Meanwhile, Miss G, Izzy S and Amber went on a trip with Augustina to buy supplies for the rest of the week. They came back after a delicious lunch of rice with chicken with was a real boost to our moral! After lunch we were able to go into same of the rooms we had been working in and started painting a mural in on distillation so the children know how to get clean water. While the rest of the girls continue with the mural, Maddy, Ollie and Archie helped George and Isee to carry water with Kevin ( Mrs Warnock’s partner) who was visiting to teach first aid to us and our buddies. We then had spaghetti bolognaise for dinner after which we had a first aid workshop learning how to deal burns, cuts, and unconscious individuals. Also Lea and Maddy were awarded joint star of the day for the mural and leadership skills.

Maddy and Lea.
