Weydon – Yoga, peacocks and finger painting

We started bright and early at 6:45 for a 7:30 yoga session, we learnt moves such as “tree” and “dead body”. After yoga we had breakfast then hurried to the pre-school and sang once again the classic ” heads, shoulders, knees and toes” swiftly followed by “wheels on the bus”.

Then we moved on to finger painting with the kids, we painted their hands and feet and stamped them on a piece of paper to be turned into elephants, peacocks, giraffes, butterflies and owls. At 11:30 us girls went to the seamstress to get our saris fitted that we got yesterday (they are amazing), were all so excited to wear them! (Especially Kaitlin who took a good 40 minutes picking her sari material- but to be fair it is beautiful)

when we returned we had lunch and drove to pick up our buddies to go to the orphanage where we played 40:40, cricket and other miscellaneous games. We really got to know our buddies and now we are all firm friends, not only with our buddies but everyone else’s. We can’t wait to see them again tomorrow.

We are just about to have dinner (it’s also still soooo hot out here – a good 75% of us are forming a tan)

Yasmin.

Quote of the day
“Do we need a ball to play bulldog?” – Olivia
“I can see your truuuuue peacock” – Toby ( there was a peacock on the roof of the bus)
