Weydon – last day with the elephants

Partner Schools Worldwide > Weydon School and Ayensudo Islamic JHS > Weydon – last day with the elephants

The last day at MEF😩😩
We started bright and early cleaning out the elephants day beds by sweeping washing and disinfecting them. Then we started making our home designed recycling bin (under the beating sun the whole time). Half of us went and got the wood while the others of us got digging the holes, which was not as easy as we first thought, due to the rocks in the ground. The wood that that we collected was not even slightly the right size. This made the job fun as it was like making a giant jigsaw. While the building was going on the others were painting an awesome Weydon team 4 mural to go on the front of the recycling bin.

After lunch was a real treat from ramenika the elephant!!!! We went on a lovely walk around the foundation followed by a really special bath where the elephant sprayed us with her trunk.🐘🐘🐘

Our amazing host Tamsin had a whole load of miscellaneous games in store for us in our afternoon downtime, this involved Ed spear tackling some bread, Simon and Tom smashing an Ink filled pot and Yasmin walking round blindfolded waving a large stick for the best part of a quarter of an hour to the great hilarity of the rest of the team.

All topped off with an amazing BBQ dinner, what a great end to our fantastic stay here at MEF!!
