St. John’s Plessington School and Elmina Catholic Boys School

Partner Schools Worldwide > St John Plessington School and Elmina Catholic Boys > St. John’s Plessington School and Elmina Catholic Boys School

DAY 3 – WEDNESDAY 8TH JULY, 2015
We had an early start for a busy day ahead of us, we arrived at St. Joseph Catholic Boys School at 8:00am where we began the project in the ICT suite and then we began by painting the walls which the boys were excited for and very grateful for the end result. Eventually we were able to set up Laptops and encourage the buddies to use the new technology. We then made jewelry with the head teacher Gloria with the buddies and they showed us how to make our own bracelets. Another exciting day.!!
DAY 4 – THURSDAY 9TH JULY, 2015
Another early start for the group. We had Eggy bread for breakfast which is delicious. After a nice refreshing shower and getting ready we started our journey to school. After a 30min walk we arrived at school we finished our painting side of our project and vanishing. The boys played football with the boys from the school. After coming home from school we had dinner and then went to Mable’s Table. We came back home and went to sleep.
DAY 5 – FRIDAY 10TH JULY, 2015
We had an early start on Friday as we started the day walking to school. We carried on with the Partner Ghana project by setting up the laptops in the completed ICT suite which now looks amazing, we then learnt an African dance with some of the boys while Patrick and Oliver were learning the drums for our dance, which we will be performing in the closing ceremony and are very excited about. After lunch we all showed our buddies how to use the Laptops before making a presentation with our buddies where we got to learn a bit about each other. Showing the buddies how to use the laptops, we could see the excitement on their faces and see how proud they were.
