We arrived at our accommodation at 3 o’ clock on Saturday afternoon after 10 hours of travelling. We were all tired so we went to bed. We then realised we had to use bottled water to wash our tooth brushes. We all really struggled to sleep because of the heat.
Today we met our buddies in the village. Our buddies liked us and we liked them. We then went to a ceremony in the village church. There was lots of singing, shouting, standing, and hugging. It was completely different to an English church.
We later went to Elmina Castle so we could learn about England’s involvement in Ghana and Ghana’s history. It also helped us learn about our buddies.
Tomorrow we are going to go and work on our project. We are spending a full day working there. I’m sure the people in Eguafo will value the work we are doing.
