Day 8

Today we took our buddies to the beach. Here we took selfies with policemen and played some sport. We then had the opportunity to have a meal at the beach hotel, some of us had lobster for 35 cedis (?7!). Unfortunately, we cannot remember what we did in the evening but something funny happened.

Day 9

Having picked up our attractive Ghanaian dresses and cool shirts, we embarked on our church crawl. We started at the Roman Catholic Church and ended with the Pentecost Church. The highlights of the five churches included dancing at the healing church and Sophie being picked out to sing a gospel song to the whole church! Later, everyone relaxed in the sun and formed a book club. Harry F had an extreme haircut from Mr Mitchell! Afterwards we set out to play the first ever cricket match in Ankwanda. The team consisted of 10 boys and Poppy. Our opponents were the Elmina cricket club which consisted of Ghanaians, Americans and Brits. The pitch was the football pitch which was interrupted by passing pigs and goats. Despite this, we won the cup with Ed J as man of the match. We celebrated in style with Nathan lifting the trophy and bags of water being sprayed.
