Our experience about their visit has been so interesting and educational. We have learnt a lot of things about them which have had an impact on us. Firstly we have learnt how to socialise and easily make friends. Secondly, we have learnt how to tolerate and relate to others, either black or white. Furthermore, we have learnt how to manage with the limited resources and as a result our creativity has been enhanced. However, we have learnt to be disciplined, decent and also work within a particular time. However, we had the opportunity of visiting Elmina castle, learnt a lot things there which are historic. Last but not least, we have also learnt not to look down on people, stigmatise them but love others equally with care. We have done so many activities and we’re all happy about the activities. Some are games like playing football and ampe with them, reading story books, projects works such as painting of the classrooms, carrying sand and water, cleaning and sceeting our classrooms and our library room which makes them look attractive.
In addition to that, we have had teenage pregnancy educating programme which will have positive impact on us. The best experience so far was the excursion to Elmina Castle.
The students that visit us were different from what we were expecting. We think that they are white people so they will not come close to us. Now we have seen that we are one people with the same blood. As a result they play, talk and smile with us.
The students that visit us have developed our school in so many ways, they have painted our classroom as well as the library room which have made them look nice and attractive for effective teaching and learning activities. They have screeted our classrooms, especially JHS 1,2 and 3 which initially were in a poor condition. We have learnt so many things from them such as their cultural differences like how they play, read and their history. More over we have learnt that they are very kind, love us and show good behaviour towards us.
