RBC – Ankwanda – Guest Buddy Blog

Partner Schools Worldwide > Reading Blue Coat and Ankwanda JHS > RBC – Ankwanda – Guest Buddy Blog

The coming of the whites (students) has encouraged our school positively. We have had many experiences since they came to our school. That is socialisation , they hate discrimination. The activities we have done were the games like playing football, dancing, playing drums and ampe with them. Project works such as painting walls, carrying water, screeting our classrooms and library room which made them look very attractive as well as repairing the chalk board. They have also drawn too. The best experience we have gotten is socialisation.

We have enjoyed many activities such as the drumming and dancing which were the best. The students who are visiting us were different from what we were expecting. We think that their complexion is different from ours so they will not laugh, come closer to us and smile with us. We have seen that they laugh with us, come closer with us and smile with us. They also welcome us to come closer with them to chat, ask questions, joke and laugh to ourselves.

The students that visit us have developed our school in so many ways, they have provided library books, which will improve our reading skills and we can check our spelling mistakes. They have made shelves in our library for books to be kept in so that the book will last for longer periods of time. They have also screeted our classrooms which were initially in a poor condition. We have learnt so many things from them such as how they play, read and speak. We have also learnt some of their culture and how to manage our time.
