Martin High School departs Ghana

Today was our last day in the community. After a hearty breakfast we headed over to the school to finish painting the football goals before handing the project over. After freshening up, we returned to the school and had a final meeting with the teachers. We then showed them all of the work we had done in the classroom, as a way of “returning” the room to the school. We headed back to the guest house and shortly afterwards our buddies arrived with some teachers, then it was time for the Buddies Buffet. There was an incredible amount of food, even Tom couldn’t eat it all. There was definitely a feeling of the end of a great experience, but we still enjoyed our last moments with them.
We will be sad to leave tomorrow as we have had a fantastic experience . We would like to say a massive thank you to Mercy for keeping us so well fed and to Reuben for being an amazing guide throughout our time here. We’ve taken recipes from Mercy to try and recreate her dishes at home.( parents you are in for a treat ). We will be sad to leave Ghana tomorrow, we have been so warmly welcomed and looked after so well. Thank you Mercy, thank you Reuben and thank you Partner schools worldwide. Signing off the blog one last time,

The group Ghana 2019. Day 10.
