Friday 12th July
This morning we were treated to yummy French toast by Nana which I can happily say we were all very excited about. Although we didn’t have any more chocolate spread which tends to be a highlight of breakfast time, replacements were made and we all still had plenty. We set off back to Essaman to continue the playground. It was a slightly frustrating day starting off with the drill not working and soon followed by a power cut. Despite these small hurdles we managed to compete all of the necessary cementing and still remain slightly ahead of schedule. After a slightly sweaty few hours we decided to head back to Stumble Inn to freshen up ready for for our drum and dance workshop. Feeling a lot more clean we started the workshop. The drumming was a lot harder than it looks considering it was made to look so easy by the instructor and some of us really had to dig deep to find any sort of rhythm. We switched to the dancing and were tought a welcome dance which was very fun. I think it’s safe to say you could definitely see who was the more experienced of the lot (probably definitely not Frankie). And finally, we’re back at Stumble Inn enjoying a relaxing evening ready for a long sleep.
