WEY T1 Day 9 Last night at Dwabor

Partner Schools Worldwide > Weydon and Dwabor JHS > WEY T1 Day 9 Last night at Dwabor

Day 9: 15th April 2019

Hello, This morning the whole team enjoyed a big meal of pancakes and nutella, which went down well with us all. It was a good start to our last full day at Dwabor. First we were split into three teams to perform three activities: first aid, painting murals and finishing the football net. During the painting in the morning we completed the main base layer and began the computing logos, whilst the first aid team were demonstrating different first aid scenarios to our buddies and the other team hung up the football net on the posts. We then enjoyed spaghetti and vegetable bolognese before having a well deserved break. Then we set off to finish the murals while the other half visited a plantation for cocoa beans and even got to try some, at a half way point we rotated and the painting team finished the mural. We were then allowed a quick shower break and a relax time with friends before being treated to a large buffet for us and our buddies. It was a great success. Shortly after the bonfire started we were all taught a song made especially for our Weydon team, which was a perfect send off for us all, then everyone went off to enjoy the bonfire. We will all miss Dwabor lots after our ten great days where we have learnt so much. Hope the rain has been in your favour too, see you all soon.

Brilliant photos – they really bring the trip to life, and I will really miss my daily updates! . The murals are a very clever theme – computer images are something you are all so familiar with here, but not so much a part of life in Dwabor…
The feast was a great way to celebrate and say goodbye – lovely atmosphere. I did spy some new purchases – necklace, bracelets and a fan, from the market I expect.!! Very nice.
