After 24 hours of tight quartered travelling, we finally reached our welcoming and thankfully air conditioned destination that was and still is the Janoda Foundation.During our long-winded travel, we stopped for lunch at a beautiful waterfront restaurant where, thanks to Kara Gamage we were provided with delicious chicken noodles that were adapted to the many dietary requirements that we have on the team!
After our meal, we arrived back on the bus to a nasty surprise that was Ed’s newly bought toblerone being infested with hundreds of red ants which we later discovered be be all over his and Alex’s bags. Luckily, after some shaking of the bags and screaming from some of the girls, we were able to continue our journey to the incredible turtle sanctuary where we were able to see and hold a variety of sea turtles including some tiny ones that were only one day old.
