Farewell ceremony for Weydon team and beach relaxation

Partner Schools Worldwide > Weydon School and Ayensudo Islamic JHS > Farewell ceremony for Weydon team and beach relaxation

DAY 12-Thursday, 2nd August 2018
Today has been great, it started at 6:30 when Amy came and gave us the daily wake up call (that’s if the rooster hadn’t already woken up us!) Then we had breakfast which was bread and of course my golden syrup which has been the best through out the week!!! Soon after we tidied up the room we had been staying in and packed all our bags. We were all incredibly sad to be leaving the home we had been staying in for 10 nights, after all the goodbyes to our Buddy’s and the friends we had made throughout our stay we got on the bus (when I say bus it was more like a safari truck). After a half hour long bumpy ride we got to Stumble Inn and went to our rooms – we were all very excited to be staying somewhere with an actual toilet and were very grateful because of it.

One hour later we had lunch which was delicious and all did our activities for the day, for me it was batiking and bead making, both of those I absolutely loved, however some people did drum making, flip flop making and mask making which all looked great fun as well…

About 3 hours after all our sunbathing and watching the sea as our resort is right on the beach we went to the hotel next door to use their swimming pool, this was the high light of my day. Once we finished our swimming we went back to our resort and had dinner – I had chicken and rice however you could have had some other options.Today has been great and will be a day I will never forget, just like the whole 18 days of the trip.
