Day 16-18 July 2018
A day off project work was a nice reward today. The team woke up at normal time as we went for a tour of the village. Two of the village elders demonstrated the dynamics of the community and explained how they have gravitated away from traditional livelihoods such as fishing and instead have placed more of an emphasis on education. They also expressed immense gratitude for the project work that we have completed so far. In the afternoon, we walked down to the beach. The afternoon relaxing was very nice but unfortunately we picked the most overcast day. Walking back always seems to be quicker on the way back after everyone is rejuvanted. Everyone is feeling quite tired but all in good spirits.
