Journey to the Volta Region of Ghana; Aylos Bay

Partner Schools Worldwide > Weydon and Dwabor JHS > Journey to the Volta Region of Ghana; Aylos Bay

Day 13: 02/08/17
Once upon a time, time…
Today we started off with delicious pancakes and a beautiful view. We then left Stumble Inn and headed towards Lake Volta, the largest man-made lake in the world. This took forever! We had six long hours of sleeping, eating and music. Eating lunch on a large bouncy bus was interesting.
After another couple of hours, we finally made it. The lake is huge and we have set up our tents right next to it, overlooking the water and mountains that surround us. Once settled in, we ate a mean bowl of pasta on the platforms that extended into the water from the lake’s banks.
Now we are sat at the bar having hot drinks and a lot of fun with some music in the background. We are just about to play a game of UNO! Then we will soon head off to bed for a good night sleep in a tent – with spiders.

Great to hear from you Paige xx and Tom. Sounds wonderful, except the spiders lol. Enjoy the rest of your trip, so wish we were with you all instead of rainy England. X
