Day 11 – Monday 10/04/17
When we woke up the bamboo canopy had been torn to shreds by the savage storm that hit Ayensudo early yesterday evening. We had a good munch on our on letter made our hero Augustina. Despite that her tent ( where all the magic happens) had been blown away she heroically cooked a delicious meal once again. The with great sadness we headed to the locked room to pack all our belongings from the past 11 days. Surrounding by a sea of our favourite munchkins we trekked through the village across to the communal area where we were greeted with drums and dancing. I have celebrated the combination of our cultures through the median of dancing and drumming. The arrival of Katie lifted the spirit of all time high. The first drumming group rose to their plastic chairs and with great surprise they just about maintained their repetition. We were greatly entertained by fire eating raster, and not an inch of fat between them on the hench bodies. We then headed back to the school to say our final farewells to to a village of people we grew to love.We loaded all our belonging onto the bus ending up like guns like Issey. The we then piled up unto the truck and headed down a bumpy road towards a refugee camp where we travelled around I the bus touring the camp with the chairman of the camp who told us information about the 2000 residents. After realising we were really hungry we then discovered we had left our lunch at the school. We collect our lunch mortifyingly as the children followed the bus as we left for the final time. We then headed to stumble and all the girls we put in the same dorm room and the boys were with the Dwabor team. We then relaxed all afternoon before enjoying a delicious evening meal and continued to chill.
