Weydon T1 – Farewell to Dwabor Community

Partner Schools Worldwide > Weydon and Dwabor JHS > Weydon T1 – Farewell to Dwabor Community

Day 13
Today we were woken to a tasty breakfast of vegetable omelet, toast and a cup of milo (best hot chocolate ever). we ate breakfast in minutes and we started putting down our mosquito nets, packing and preparing for the 4 days ahead of us.
Once we finished packing the bus showed up and it was time to say our goodbyes to Dwabor. We took many pictures and everyone got very emotional. As we drove out the village there were kids racing the bus to say goodbye and we headed off to stumble inn.
We headed towards Elmina and parked into a hotel which felt like heaven. We quickly put our bags into our rooms and raced down to the beach were they had volley ball, ping pong and lounge seats. After settling in we started our batik and mask making and shortly after team 13 arrived and were amazed at the hotel as much as we were. We played some ping pong and volleyball and before we knew it , dinner was ready and we tucked into chicken kebabs and yam. A campfire was lit for us to have a sing song as we watched the stars in the night. Everyone then went to bed as we were to leave early for a long journey the next day.
p.s Tracy Holmes please can you buy tom some milo. Tom x
