Glyn School brings egg&spoon racing to Ghana

Partner Schools Worldwide > Glynn School and Philip Quiacoe JHS > Glyn School brings egg&spoon racing to Ghana

Today we woke up at our usual time for breakfast at 7:45. We left for our final time to the school. The donations we had been carrying were delivered via two crammed taxis and were brought to the school to fill the empty shelves. After 45mins of stacking shelves we started the first intercontinental sports day in both Glyn and Philip Quiche history. We started with two football semi finals won by the Wisdom Warriors and Hysterical FC. Next event was the three legged race followed by egg and spoon and wheel barrow races which was painful on the rough ground. After few more events we broke for lunch followed by the football final being won by Wisdom Warriors who were officially award a box of Foxes biscuits. After all the events we had an official handover of the library with prayers and speeches from the teachers and students. Miss Butler, Miss Harding and Georgie were all given necklaces and earrings and the rest of us were given traditional bracelets. We headed back to the hostel for shower and relax before the buddies buffet started at 4:30. After eating through mountains of rice we exchanged gifts with the buddies ready for a good sleep and later start tomorrow.
