Hello and welcome to Sri Lanka 2016 !

Today, we began by boarding the plane (which was delayed from 10:05 to 10:35) with our sweets and miscellaneous beverages firmly in hand, and to our delight the plane had Movies and Video Games built into the seats, we were all over the moon with this as it undoubtedly made the journey feel half the length.

Having stopped in Mumbai we landed in Sri Lanka, and it was immediately clear we were not home anymore.

We arrived at our first destination, the Millennium Elephant Foundation. We rushed to our rooms and claimed our beds and dormitories before heading out on one of the initial tours. We also saw how paper was made from the elephant dung only next door to the foundation and ,although quite disgusting, it was a very interesting experience.

To wrap up the night we headed off for a cheeky dinner, which I can’t write about yet because we haven’t gone… In fact I think I may be late. But anyway, before dinner we had the privilege of washing the elephants in the river and I’m sure you will see lots of photos of that in the days to come.

We all are missing you, kind of, but don’t worry because we are having the most amazing time and if you think about it it’s only 12 days to go !

Adios Ed
P.s Its really hot here 😩😩😩
