Sir William Perkins School & Bantuma JHS

Partner Schools Worldwide > Sir William Perkins School and Bantuma JHS > Sir William Perkins School & Bantuma JHS

Day 9: Saturday, 24 October 2015
Today we had a particularly early start and we were at the school by 7:30am, to continue our works on the wall murals. After our tight time limit of 9:00am, progress was rapid. Although in the end we didn’t need to have finished by then all that was left after 9:00am was touchups. We hen took our truck into the town of Elmina, where we wondered embracing the culture and buying Ghanaian produce and souvenirs. After buying lots of wonderful memorabilia, we trucked back to Stumble Inn where we relaxed for an hour, treating ourselves to refreshing coconut water and flesh from coconut removed by Kwame’s friend freshly out from the tree.
Next on the line up was a ‘Buddy Buffet’. We headed back to Bantuma where we sat next to our buddies, having a good chat and enjoying Augustina’s delicious food once again. The afternoon and evening on the beach was spent chilling on the beach and playing particularly uncompetitive games of beach volley ball. A fun and successful saturday had be all!
