Sir William Perkins School and Bantuma M/A Basic School

Partner Schools Worldwide > Sir William Perkins School and Bantuma JHS > Sir William Perkins School and Bantuma M/A Basic School

DAY 5: Tuesday 20th October 2015
Today we traveled to the school early in the morning to continue with the project work. We have been painting, sanding desks and started the mural!.
From Bantuma, we took a bus to the cocoa farm. We had a small tour and learnt lots about how fairtrade can affect farmers. After that we enjoyed our delicious lunch on the bus before making our way to the rain forest. On arrival, we were paired with our buddies and made our way up to the 250m high platform. There were certainly mixed emotions about the wobbling bridges across the canopy. It was very high up and some people suffered from vertigo. However, we all finished with smiles on our faces.

Whilst heading back to Stumble Inn on the bus we all enjoyed listening to some ghost stories that terrified us all, in some cases there were tears of terror and laughter!. All in all, it was a brilliant day and we are glad to see our beds.
