Kimbolton Easter Trip – Days 1-3

Friday, 27th March 2015
Hi to all! We are all having a brilliant time in Ghana. Our first night was very tiring as we got off a seven hour flight then went into a three hour queue at Security – our first taste of waiting around in Africa!
We got to our first hotel called Kokomlemle Guest House at about 1130pm. We went straight to our rooms and all struggled to fall asleep in the intense heat!

The next morning after breakfast we headed on our way to Stumble Inn, a four hour drive away. We had lots of fun playing volleyball and paddling in the sea. Our Buddies then came to Stumble Inn and played volleyball with us – they were much better than us! Sadly we then had to say goodbye to them so we could get some rest.

The next day we went to Elmina Castle and had a lovely time. Some parts of the tour around the Castle were very emotional and it was difficult to hear about slavery in the past, but we all had a good time and found out lots of information about Ghana’s history.  After Elmina Castle we all swam in the sea to cool off, and it was very refreshing. Lots of us are getting glorious tans and can’t wait to see what the next day brings!
