25th July

Today was really good. We did project work in the morning and visited Kakum National Park in the afternoon. Another early start, for breakfast we had pancakes. They were yummy and most people had seconds. After breakfast we went straight into project work, painting murals, plastering cupboards, and carrying sandbags for the cement. It was hard work but totally worth it because the results looked good. The journey to Kakum National Park took 2 hours. Then the weather turned on us and it started to rain. The canopy walk was 40 metres high, and Matt was terrified, but don’t worry, we looked after him. The journey back was eventful as the bus couldn’t get up the last few hills because of the mud and rain, so we walked home. Everyone was soaked through and plastered with mud especially Gemma, though Leah fell in a ditch and Jasmine ran in to save her. Everyone was ready for a hot meal and a good night sleep. The rain was pouring down but Matt was keeping spirits high. Missing you guys.

26th July

After a late night we were not happy to be woken up early. We had eggy bread and beans for breakfast which was lovely. We then made a start on projects. Lots of the children were working on their farms, so less kids were around and we got lots of work done. Lily got paint on her which Gemma spent hours cleaning off. Ronan got mistaken for being Frank Lampard. Bye for now!
