Team 9 had an early start with breakfast as tasty eggy bread with Baked beans. We started work on an the playground in the KG (kindergarten), which involved laying foundations for the swing and the slide. We also had to dig a trench about a foot deep all the way around the area to put tyres in. It was much hotter than yesterday and that meant that we could not work hard in the sun for longer than 15 minutes at a time, except for Greg and Ben who went for half an hour!!! We were all exhausted..and very sweaty.

Whilst this was going on, we started to outline and paint the mural on the outside of the Upper Primary Block wall. We had developed the design the Ghanian students had sent us about a month ago, which shows the partnership of the two schools.

Lunch was rice, beans and plantain which is kind of like banana. In the afternoon we had a culture swap with the Ghanian pupils, during which we played British games like cricket and taught them stuck in the mud. Dinner was spaghetti with a sauce that had carrot, cucumber and green pepper, like spaghetti bolognese but more filling and better tasting!

In the evening, after dinner we made a bonfire at which the buddies came along to. We all sat around, singing along to Ghanian songs with music from the amazing drums!! We shared British stories such as Little Red Riding Hood, which everyone enjoyed.
