Weydon Team 8 – August 5th

Partner Schools Worldwide > Weydon and Dwabor JHS > Weydon Team 8 – August 5th

So today we had an early start at stumble inn, thanks to the one and only Hally. We had a very bumpy journey in the massive army truck that is our coach. After about an hours journey we arrived in Dwabor, greeted and surrounded by the local children and team 7. it was very emotional with the occasional tear, as Team 7 sadly said their goodbyes we greeted the lovely children with hellos and began making new friends. After interrogation from the kids we are now professionals at answering what are mothers sisters fathers and brothers names are – as well as our own ages and names. After the bombarding sea of kids settled down a bit we had some quality time with out buddies where they gave us a tour round the village and its safe to say every single person had their hands held onto by multiple smiling children. There was about 3 million goats – which Bradley LOVED (being the teams national animal whisperer). We then came back to the school where everyone began playing clapping games, tickle fights singing – and of course playing the ukulele. Augustina (the fabulous cook) made a delicious Ghanaian styled pasta vegetable dish, its safe to say we’ll be full for months! Now everyone’s getting scared of the multiple GARGANTUAN cockroaches currently nestled in the long drop OH WELL ☺ been a great day

Everyone’s missed at home ( sort of ) love you all lots, having so much fun so don’t worry because we know some of you will! Lots of love from Team 8 (tonight written by Lottie and Boo)
