Day 1 – 2. Team 8

Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE
Day 1

We arrived in Accra feeling excited and nervous. The first thing that hit us was the smell of potatoes and the mayhem that we were soon to be engulfed in. We were then ushered by the Partner Ghana team to the “Bang Tang’ Bus” which we soon realized that the bus had no suspension and so we bounced around “like a rubber ball” (Luke’s quote). After a while we arrived at the hostel where the one and only Carol Warnock told we that what lay ahead of us was going to be fun but challenging at the same time.

 Day 2

We arose after a 2 hour sleep at the hostel to the news that we were going on a 5 hour drive to the Stumble Inn. We once again boarded the Bang Tang’ Bus and made our bumpy way to the place where we had breakfast. We then continued on to the Stumble Inn. Once we arrived a wave of calm descended over the group but only until we all ran into the sea and started swimming in the lovely waves. We had a wonderful supper mainly jollof rice and chicken. mmmmm! We loved it. We later on had a born fire set up by the Stumble inn attendants. All team members crowded around the fire to warm up and reflect on the day’s activities until our eyes got tired to sleep. Indeed, it was all fun and exciting moments.
