Weydon Dwabor Trip Update

Partner Schools Worldwide > Weydon and Dwabor JHS > Weydon Dwabor Trip Update

Tuesday 31st July

This morning we woke up to a bright blue sky – obviously going to be a hot day! After breakfast of rice porridge, we all went down for a well run – some of us have learnt how to carry the water buckets on their heads. After everyone was assigned a job, we worked on the two playgrounds – fixing the paintwork and designing the new layout, aswell as working in the kindergarden classrooms which included smoothing the walls and applying paint to all the walls. These activities took us until 4.30 which was when some of the students went down to the village to buy everyone a sweet ball (doughnuts). Everyone had a quick shower (for some this meant only wetwipes), washed their clothes and got sorted ready for supper of groundnut soup and rice balls – YUM!!!

Emily & Kate

PS

Sally; Lucy’s foot has swollen underneath

Sian and Richard; Kate’s ingrowing toenail is infected and will need an operation when she gets home. Lovely to hear about baby Max!
