First, we went to an amazing bird park, filled with incredible birds, including ostriches! We also fed lots of colourful, small birds, which immediately latched onto all of us, especially Izzy, who had eight on her at one point! After leaving the bird park, we went to the market which we explored and some of us went to the beach. The waves were massive, and Oliver nearly lost his flip flop! Izzy also lost her flip flop but was soon reunited with in further along the beach. It was good to have some down time after such an early start and long day yesterday.
In Hambantota we went shopping for Safaris and Sarongs for the leaving ceremony on the last night. Not surprisingly the boys were back at the meeting point before the girls. With so many fabulous fabrics and designs available, it took a while. However, we all chose something beautiful and different and were pleased with our purchases.
