Day one Blog; 20th July 2019
Today we woke up and the journey began there and then. The short hour and a half journey to the airport seemed to fly by with all of us being so excited. Once on the plane some of us hadn’t flown before and so there were constant reassurance from each other. After landing in Amsterdam for a whole of 20 minutes we boarded the second plane for the next six and a half hours all eagerly awaiting the arrival in Ghana. Stepping off the plane my first impression was, of course, the heat even at nearly 8 o’clock. The next thing that I noticed was the energy of the people from passport control to currency exchange the positivity was there. I’m sure after such a long day of travel we are all so tired and will certain sleep well tonight.
